Main activities focus on the areas of medical systemengineering, biochemistry, micro system engineering as well asbiosensors/biochips for medical applications. These topics arepredominant research topics in EU countries also because thehealth and medical welfare-related topics are among the mostsignificant subjects in the coming years. Therefore, in thisgroup, researchers from various research experiences andacademic backgrounds cooperate for the development ofbiochips for medical applications and medical instrumentscomprising micro fluidics and application of microwave energy.

In order to merge the micro and medical technology into therobot system the development of a robot hand and tactilesensor technologies are also the goal of the HumanEngineering group.
