Main Activities
Main activities focus on fundamental and applied research of key components for the environment and health. This multidisciplinary team (consisting of environmental engineers, chemists and biologists) realises ideas to prove, dispose and prevent substances that are hazardous to our environment by means of innovative technologies and processes (e.g. from nano- and bio-engineering).
The combination of complementary expertise in the fields of environmental engineering, chemical derivatisation and engineering, biological and biochemical technology and experimental sciences put our division in a strong position in order to contribute to the implementation of the European Research Area and to the achievement of a sustainable environment.
