On July 17th, 2023, KIST Europe and gwSaar, the Saarland Economic Promotion Corporation, made a Memorandum of Understanding based on multiple cooperations over years, to strengthen the basis for an institutional relationship to encourage and to promote bilateral cooperation on relevant issues.
Both parties will be running the joint platform 'InSaar, EU-Hub' in the KIST Europe Building for korean companies into german and saarland market and be offering strategic information in terms of promoting business fields of settling Start-ups and SMEs from Korea. Mr. Thomas Schuck, the CEO of gwSaar, glady mentioned that "he is convinced we are setting up an unique and extremely attractive bridgehead. Forethemore, the combination of korean infrastructure at KIST Europe and the established consulting and networking services from gwSaar can make it much easier for industries to get started on the european market.
