On April 5th, 2017, KIST Europe held a round table meeting for Korean cosmetic companies in London, United Kingdom. Around 40 participants from 18 korean cosmetic ingredients manufacturer and related companies learned how to comply the current EU Environmental regulation for cosmetic ingredients companies and the EU Cosmetic Regulations. Dr. Hyunpyo Jeon, the team leader of KIST Europe's regulation compliance team in Environmental Safety Group, emphasized distinct compliance for cosmetic ingredients. Also, Jisu Yang, Researcher at KIST Europe, presented the strategy of Korean cosmetic companies for EU cosmetic regulation compliance to chemicals & chemical products and lead a discussion on present difficulties and the future direction. KIST Europe expects this meeting to contribute to a better understanding of the regulations and to help Korean ingredients manufacturers to be competitive in global markets.
