On June 21th, 2017, KIST Europe held a EU Cosmetic Regulation seminar in Korea, cohosted by the National Coordinating Center for Global Cosmetics R&D (NCR). Around 210 participants from Korean cosmetic ingredients manufacturer and related companies learned about the current EU REACH and EU cosmetic regulations. Dr. Hyunpyo Jeon, senior researcher at KIST Europe, and Jisu Yang, Researcher at KIST Europe, presented the contents of these regulations and informed how to meet the regulation requirements. Also, Dr. Hyunpyo Jeon led a discussion on present difficulties and the future direction about K-REACH and K-BPR. KIST Europe expects that this meeting contributes to Korean manufacturers’ understanding of the regulations and helps them to be more competitive in global market.
