KIST Europe

On March 15th, 2018, KIST Europe held an Info-day event for global companies, which are interested in the revised "K-REACH" and "new K-BPR" regulation.

We were pleased to welcome around 55 participants from european companies.

Mr. Yeon-Kie Ryoo, general, director, Ms. Min-A Seo and Mr. Dekkyu Ko, deputy director, gave their presentations on the legislation and representative from the korean ministry of environment(MoE).

Furthemore, Dr. Jens Toslov (DHI / Danisch Hydraulic Institute), one of the KIST Europe's research partners, explained a new exposure assessment tool, which is developed by the co-work between KIST Europe and DHI, for K-REACH.

KEIT (Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology) and KOTRA (Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency) also introduced their tasks related to new legislation about chemical industry.

The revised K-REACH and enacted K-BPR will be enforced in the near future (From January 2019). KIST Europe expects that this event can contribute european industry to a better understanding of those korean regulations and it makes korean chemical industries more active.
