On March 07, 2019, Congressman Thomas Lutze, a member of Die Linke (“The Left”) party, along with the vice chairman of the German-Korean Parliamentary Group in Germany’s Federal Parliament, visited KIST Europe to research its Business Management Plan and gather information on its scientific contributions to both Korea and the EU.
The German-Korean Parliamentary Group deals with collaborative activities between Korea and Germany on the parliamentary level. Dr. Junkyung Kim gave the men a warm welcome and explained to them KIST Europe’s record of scientific achievements, its budget composition, and its need for support from German parliament. During the visit, Congressman Lutze voiced a desire for stronger international R&D collaboration, and mentioned that he would try to call more attention to Korea and KIST Europe. |
