The start-up support Program 'InSaar' with gwSaar celebrates its first success with the marine navigation service provder 'Mapsea Corporation'.

On November 21, Ms. Anja Petschauer, Managing Director of gwSaar, and Dr. Soo Hyun Kim warmly welcomed the branch opening ceremony of a new start-up company 'Mapsea' in the KIST Europe Building, which is developing a special navigation system for shipping, based on AI-Technologies. It promises to minimise the risk of accidents and collisions by mapping all sources of danger at sea and in ports.

"Our entire board members are comprised of maritime professionals with decades of experience sailing across the five oceans and six continets" said Mr. Jisoo Kim, CEO of Mapsea. He also highlighted that such experiences had enabled Mapsea to understand and apply customer's needs thoroughly, which become their assets and mottos for defined internationalization.

Mr. Thomas Shuck, the CEO of gwSaar, hopes that Saarland will become a attractive bridgehead for Korean start-ups coming.
