On April 16 2024, the Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Engineering (IBMT) and KIST Europe signed a Memorandum of Understanding, declaring their intention to enhance of mutual common interest through joint research cooperation.
It contains various development activites on the fields of 'in vitro models for regulatory affairs, toxicity assessment, biobanking and cryopreservation and smart wearables and digital biomarkers enabled mobile brain disease modelling etc, which shall be agreed on by the parties in each individual case, including financing topic. Dr. Soo Hyun Kim, the Institute Director from KIST Europe, and Mr. Peter Hauptmann, the Head of Business and Administration from Fraunhofer IBMT, gave their warm speeches to each others and expected a strong collaboration together.
